Could you make the minimum width of the header the same as the main container's width?
The body uses the col-9 column width from Bootstrap's grid system so that might be good to use for the header too.

@hugosolar could you also add "Creative Commons Open Source" to the header of the site since that's what we decided on as the name of the site? We use the bootstrap navbar brand styling for the CC logo and you could probably put the text in there too: https://getbootstrap.com/docs/4.0/components/navbar/#brand
