@pajooh Unfortunately CrossRef metadata is not always complete, in the sense that some publishers may provide a PII, and some may not (even if they have one.) This may even differ for a particular publisher's content.
What is going on here will become clearer once I implement filtering and look up by 'internal' identifiers, which include PIIs. I'll mark this as a dupe of #17 which is being used to track the progress of that implementation.
