[jss-vendor-prefixer] clip-path to -webkit-clip-path not working

Expected behavior:
When the JSS encounters a clip-path on a webkit browser, it should put a '-webkit-clip-path:' in its place as well.

Describe the bug:
There is no change to the CSS. clip-path remains, but will not work with Webkit browsers such as safari.

The JSS
clipPath: 'inset(5px -1px -7px -1px)',

Should result in

'-webkit-clip-path:': 'inset(5px -1px -7px -1px)',

Codesandbox link:
Please create a codesandbox.io with the issue. Make it as minimal as possible as this will help us find the bug quicker.

Versions (please complete the following information):

  • jss: clipPath: 'inset(5px -1px -7px -1px)',
  • Browser [e.g. chrome, safari]: Safari & other webkit browsers.
  • OS [e.g. Windows, macOS]: MacOS
    Feel free to add any additional versions which you may think are relevant to the bug.

[vendor-prefixer | css-jss] width: fill-available doesn't transform in firefox

Expected behavior:
When I write width: 'available' or width: 'fill-available' they should convert -moz-available and -webkit-fill-availableaccording to the browser.

Describe the bug:
In firefox, there is value -moz-available that does the same thing as -webkit-fill-available (if I'm correct). When I write width: 'available' it converts only for firefox and when I write width: 'fill-available' it converts only for chrome. I think those options should interconvertible.

Property clip-path

Reported here mui/material-ui#9293 (comment)

Automatic prefixing when needed is not working as expected. I'm trying to use clip-path, which needs to be prefixed in Safari.

`myStyle: { clipPath: 'polygon(0% 0%, 100% 0%, 100% 250px, 0% 100%)', }`

When I view my page in Safari and inspect that code, there is no vendor prefix for clip-path. I'm using Material UI core v3.9.0 and JSS v9.8.7 with jss-preset-default.

Throws "Unspecified Error" inside of `supportedValue` when `content` property is used.

We are using css-vendor as part of our material-ui based application. Somewhere in this application or a component we are using a CSS property content might be set. IE11 throws inside supportedValue() when trying to check the possibility to apply it. It might (correctly) be related to the fact that generated content can not be applied to the internally used p element. Probably there should be some ignore list ... or this property should be added to it, if such a list is already available.

IE11 just reports an "Unspecified error".

The issue is related to this code

el.style[property] = prefixedValue

If modified with a try-catch to ignore the error it at least works. But this might also lead to the fact that the property is not applied in the end.

try {
  el.style[property] = prefixedValue;
} catch(ex) {
  console.warn("Unable to validate supported value for CSS property: " + property + "! Error: " + ex);
}

We know that IE11 is old and actually nobody likes it. :)

For others: Our "solution" for right now is to have a local copy of css-vendor inside a node_overrides folder. Then we added this to our package.json:

"resolutions": {
  "**/css-vendor": "file:./node_overrides/css-vendor-2.0.5-ie11-fixed"
},

which is used by Yarn for overriding the install source.

Function API

The current implementation automatically executes upon require. It makes it hard to write isomorphic JavaScript. I am trying to deliver a feature jasonkuhrt/react-popover#34 that is blocked by my use of css-vendor:

/Users/jasonkuhrt/projects/react-popover/node_modules/css-vendor/lib/prefix.js:16
var style = document.createElement('p').style
            ^
ReferenceError: document is not defined
    at Object.<anonymous> (/Users/jasonkuhrt/projects/react-popover/node_modules/css-vendor/lib/prefix.js:16:13)
    at Module._compile (module.js:460:26)
    at Module._extensions..js (module.js:478:10)
    at Object.require.extensions.(anonymous function) [as .js] (/usr/local/lib/node_modules/babel/node_modules/babel-core/lib/api/register/node.js:214:7)
    at Module.load (module.js:355:32)
    at Function.Module._load (module.js:310:12)
    at Module.require (module.js:365:17)
    at require (module.js:384:17)
    at Object.<anonymous> (/Users/jasonkuhrt/projects/react-popover/node_modules/css-vendor/index.js:9:18)
    at Module._compile (module.js:460:26)

If we give consumers control over the execution then they can react at runtime and hence make their program isomorphic. Would you accept a PR that changes the API of this module as described?
