Hi Dawid, you can just put:

cover:

in your configuration.yaml on the main hass, you don't have to actually define one. At least that works for me with ceiling fans.

Thank you @davemuench , the same is necessary for switches as well.
I did not see the correct switch states and triggering the toggles did not do anything (also no error).
So I added
switch:
to the master instance and then it worked.

Strangely though, thermostats (normally under climate:) don't need this..
Should be in the docs..
