Wifi still disconnect when downloading files! about android_device_motorola_jordan

I'm experiencing the same problem. I'm currently on cm7-110822-1650-BOOT179-4-Jordan. The connection is stable, but as soon as a traffic intensive app downloads something "big", the Wifi connection "hangs". It stops working although the phone still thinks it's connected. I must disconnect/reconnect manually to re-establish the connection.

I can reproduce it trying to download big files via Wifi (50Mb or bigger). Or when something like NewsRob needs to download a lot.

Any hints? TIA.

I upgraded to cm7-110825-0058-NIGHTLY-Jordan and the problem is still there. One thing that I noticed though is that immediately after a reboot I can download/transfer big files without a problem. The "hangs" appear only after a long while and only when downloading "big" stuff.

Now I'm on cm7.1.0-RC1.5-jordan-signed | md5:2a29a0c741de6fa75090187a7e07ffc2. Things haven't changed much on the WiFi front for me. I'm trying to copy a 1GB video now. As expected the transfer froze, but after disabling/re-enabling WiFi 2 times I was able to copy the whole thing.

My router is a WRT54GS running Tomato Version 1.28 using WPA (not WPA2) and I'm sitting next to it, so the signal strength is perfect. Any hints? As always, if I don't try to download something big, the WiF connection is stable and programs like GTalk stay connected as long as the battery is running.

I tried cm7-110906-1839-BOOTWIFITEST2-Jordan and cm7-110911-1924-BOOTWIFI3-Jordan. With BOOTWIFITEST2 the connection hanged more often, but BOOTWIFI3 seems to be the best I've tried so far. I was able to transfer lots of big files without problems. I got a hang too, but it happens less often and the battery lasts longer when leaving WiFi connected overnight.

After cm7-110911-1924-BOOTWIFI3-Jordan I'm now on cm7-110920-0605-NIGHTLY-Jordan and no hangs so far after transferring a couple of files over 100MB each! :-)

hey, i'm on CM7 RC1.5, and i have the same wifi issue, i need to flash the cm7-110920-0605-NIGHTLY-Jordan directly over the RC?... i mean, what i have to do?

ive had the same issue for a while now, and now im on 11-11-11 stable, and its still there. how is it working for you?
