It seems that the caffe is compiled without using MPI. Could you please check if these lines are uncommented and properly set in your Makefile.config?

@Cysu Thanks for your help! And I have another question, my cudnn version is cudnn v3.0, and I don't want to change it to cudnn v4.0 because it's another application's requirement. Will this affect the installation of dgd_person_reid?

Actually, you don't need to uninstall cudnn v3. You can just add the path to cudnn v4 (include and lib64) here and compile the caffe normally. Then add export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/path/to/cudnn/v4/lib64:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH to ~/.bashrc and restart the terminal.
