Sorry, but this is a bug in whatever transpiler you are using. The var prefixExponent isn’t a global—by default it’s only visible within the formatPrefixAuto.js module, and it can be explicitly imported if you want to reference its value from another module.
ES modules export live bindings and some transpilers do not support this. You can read more about ES modules here:
