What exactly would you like to sponsor?

from feedbag.

julien51 avatar julien51 commented on May 18, 2024

The whole project. Basically, we'd send you (the maintainer) a financial contribution in exchange for a link + logo on the README saying something like "development for Feedbag has been partially sponsored by Superfeedr".
This helps us get some visibility and hopefully also helps your users find tools they can use to fetch/parse feeds.

Thanks for your interest. How much would you be willing to sponsor with? I also don't think this should be kept private, thanks for leaving it public.

julien51 avatar julien51 commented on May 18, 2024

Of course, this should stay public!
We usually offer $300 for small projects like this one. Would that work?

Would you be ok with putting the statement under a "Donations" section below the "Author" section? With something like "Superfeedr has kindly financially supported the development of Feedbag" with a link to both your company's website and to this ticket.

julien51 avatar julien51 commented on May 18, 2024

Yes! Would that also include the logo (in small?)

Sure, can you provide a URL for the image?

julien51 avatar julien51 commented on May 18, 2024

Dang, David, I'm so sorry, I missed your latest message. The logo is
there

Thanks!

I've pushed a branch with my proposal. Let me know what you think:
https://github.com/damog/feedbag/tree/donation/superfeedr

I also hosted the image (I think Github will CDN it anyway), but reduced its width from 250px to 150px, as I considered it too large.

Let me know how this works for you.

Hi @julien51, any thoughts?

from feedbag.

julien51 avatar julien51 commented on May 18, 2024

Thanks! That's perfect (once again, I missed your previous message... )
Let me know how to proceed!
Thanks,

from feedbag.

Thanks @julien51. Would PayPal work for you? Once there's a transfer made I can simply merge that into master.

We don't have a paypal account, but yes, I believe we could make a payment
with CC if you use their 'request payment' feature
Thanks,
