Daniel Price's Projects
python tool to display and analysis astronomical data cubes
Notes and links for Flatiron CCA summer school July 31st-Aug 11th 2023
Removes shot noise from astronomical images using adaptive kernels
Extract a colour map from a png file and reduces it to a compact table in l,r,g,b suitable for use in splash or other visualisation/plotting tools
A simple tidal interaction code in Python (for educational use)
Fortran 90 module for maximum entropy based reconstruction of a function from its moments
giza - a scientific plotting library for C/Fortran
homebrew install scripts for various packages I maintain, e.g. brew tap danieljprice/all; brew install splash
🍻 Default formulae for the missing package manager for macOS
Simple code to test various time integration methods on the gravitational two-body problem
The MacPorts ports tree
MCFOST radiative transfer code
Compute the residual from mirroring molecular line cube observations of protoplanetary discs
MoCA hubot instance
A 1, 2 and 3 dimensional Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) simulation code. This is my "development" code, used to develop new SPH algorithms. Contains implementations of nearly algorithm I have published for SPH, but not particularly optimised, nor parallel, but good for exploring how SPH works and trying out new ideas on a wide range of test problems for compressible hydrodynamics and magnetohydrodynamics, mostly in the context of astrophysics.
Example problems for the ndspmhd code
Phantom Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics and Magnetohydrodynamics code
python interface to the 3D radiative transfer code mcfost
Compute smooth moment maps of 3D astronomical data cubes using SPH kernel interpolation
SPLASH is an interactive visualisation and plotting tool using kernel interpolation, mainly used for Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics simulations
Image reconstruction for radio astronomy using SPH kernel interpolation in the uv plane
Compute diffusive propagation of warps in accretion discs, assuming alpha > H/R
Wave-like propagation of warps in accretion discs
