MapKU

Group Project No.4 for EECS 448

Team 14: Saher Elsayed, Daniel Johnson, Trieu-Anh Nguyen, Maokun Huang, Rahul Purswani


In Project 4, we enhance the functionality basic on project 3. For example, the website can help students finding the route between building basic on input the classroom. We add buildings that students commonly used and landmark buildings on the campus. For the markers of buildings, the Map KU have basic information description and link of the building's homepage. Also, we improve user interfaces which can help users easier use the Map KU.

Group Project No.3 for EECS 448


The information in MapKU website will help KU Jayhawks finding KU campus buildings and be able to attend their classes on time because it can calculate the route between each building. This website will be very helpful for freshmen coming in every semester, help them figure out the locations of their classes, and the fastest way to get there. Moreover, the web has markers for KU campus buildings and information panels to show the building's information.

The Website’s Features in Project 4:

  • Be able to input class
  • Add Campus Bus information
  • Add Commonly Used and Landmark Buildings

The Website’s Features in Project 3:

  • Users can search for KU campus buildings
  • Users can mark multiple buildings as a destination to create the fastest route
  • Users can view information about the route. (estimated time, distance, etc.)
  • Users can view information about buildings

  • Open GitHub Pages link in the "about" section
  • NOTE: After 2020, I will be removing my API key from this project. To run this after that, download the project, and in the index.html put your own API key in where the map loads. Then open index.html.
