errors when running klab server, issues with node.js about klab

I have node version v9.8.0 for which everything works fine

Then the installation instructions are misleading. Readme says that NPM is required. I installed it as you would expect one to do on Ubuntu, and got the wrong version.

I Installed nodejs v9.11.2 after all. But now I get this error:

$ klab server
internal/modules/cjs/loader.js:550
    throw err;
    ^

Error: Cannot find module 'xstream'

Are you sure there are no other dependencies?

@denis-bogdanas install the javascript modules by running make deps-npm (which just runs npm install)
npm should be installed along with node
