Ok, so i have actually managed to integrate Requestrr with G Assistant using Zapier (pretty easy).
It works really good, needs about 5-10secs to send a request.
Only thing i don't like is that before you make a request, you first have to say "Ok Google, talk to Zapier" and then you say Download movie, she should respond with Which one(i set it up like that) and you say the name.

Is there any other Alternative to it?

Unfortunately Google has not yet released their equivalent to Siri Shortcuts called Google Action Blocks.

When Google releases it, we’ll be able to have a more native integration.

I would love this to be supported also.

I downloaded the Action Blocks app myself and it doesn't seem to natively support webhooks (as far as I can tell?) - wondering if anyone found a way to integrate it using the Action Blocks app / I missed something?

To get it working, all we would need is the ability to make an HTTP post request with specific content via Google Action Blocks.

Did you see anything to do that?

Sadly no :( it appears to me that it's essentially shortcuts to do things that Google Assistant can already do - e.g. making phone calls, sending texts, doing Google Home stuff like turning on/off lights and setting temperature.

Exploring it some more - I may pursue an IFTTT action like originally mentioned since that would support HTTP post & I assume getting the specific content

I was able to do this on Android with IFTTT. It works well for movies, but I'm still seeing if there's a way to trigger a conversation, which would be better for TV shows. Ie 'download game of thrones' will prompt a reply of 'which season', and listen for an input again to determine the season and such.

IFTTT seems to only support one trigger leading to one action as far as I've seen

@vember31 Could you share how you got this to work with IFTTT? And for TV shows would it be possible to make it always use the all seasons option instead of waiting for a response?

@ReenigneArcher sorry about the delay here but the core part of it for movies (haven't setup TV yet or tried, but that's a good idea w/ all seasons) is below, where the URL is the Discord webhook. This is an IFTTT webhook. Overall, this is mostly just a matter of following the Siri instructions and adapting it for Google Assistant via this webhook.

Thanks, might try to do this with HomeAssistant now that IFTTT wants to charge and I'm already way past the limit.

@ReenigneArcher Did you figure out how to do this with HomeAssistant? I already have Google Assistant integration setup....but I think you're going to hit a wall with passing a full variable like a Movie/Show Title through Google Assistant--->HomeAssistant.

Let me know if you figured it out.

@zhdenny I've not had a chance to try it yet.

Tried it today. Ended up with something like this:

I'm not sure it's possible to activate the slash commands through the call tho.
