I have no idea how they calculated it, but I do know that TradingView has some sort of error, based on my prior analysis. Maybe they copied their bad code? I wasn't clear on whether you were comparing some other charting tool or not.

If you're calculating ATR from this library, make sure you're providing the three HLC values in your quote inputs. It needs all of them to calculate True Range and ATR.

Since normal ATR uses a smoothed moving average, it also takes ~250 periods before the convergence error is fully resolved, so it's not unusual for earlier periods to have some error; however, I don't suspect that's where the error is in this case because it wouldn't be significantly different as you're describing.
