sonar-hipchat-plugin

A sonar plugin to send notifications to a HipChat room.

Howto

To build the plugin call mvn clean package (or download the current release). The artifact must be copied to the SONAR_HOME/extensions/plugins folder and sonarqube must be restarted.

Tested for sonarqube 5.2 and 5.3

The plugin requires Java 1.8

configuration

The following properties can be configured in the sonarqube build

sonar.hipchat.disabled # true per default - disables the plugin completely
sonar.hipchat.room # HipChat room where to broadcast the message
sonar.hipchat.token # HipChat token for authentication
sonar.hipchat.message # a message that is send to the HipChat room before the actual auto-generated message is sent

Currently a message in the following format is sent

%s has been analysed at %s.%nStatus: %d new issues | %d resolved issues | %d total issues

With the first being the project name, the second the date of analyis.

It is considered to offer a more flexible messaging though.

A link to SQ in the message

It would be much convenient to have in the hipchat message, a link onto SQ

Compatibility with SonarQube 5.5

It looks like the plugin isn't compatible with SonarQube 5.5.

We have a local buildserver with SonarQube 5.5 running at Java 1.8.0_91-b14 and me use Jenkins to proof our Repositories for changes and build our projects. After that it demands SonarQube to analyse the projectfiles for issues. All working well and the issues and code are updated just fine at the SonarQube dashboards. Also the plugin post-analyse-hook is called and the notification is send to HipChat. All though this notification keeps saying, for every project and analysis: 0 new issues | 0 resolved issues | 0 total issues. Even though I know there are issues resolved or added and the total issues for most of our projects aren't 0.

Assign HipChat Server

How do i assign the hipchat server to send the message to?

We have our own hipchat server and need the notifications to go to it rather than www.hipchat.com
