This is a step towards using a package manager.
Each definition can now have a readme, and it will have a package.json or something that will define the metadata.
Also, in near future we should probably need to support multiple versions of libraries.
While the flat structure made sense for fewer definitions, soon there will be hundreds.
I definitely see the drawbacks, but I think it was necessary.
Any other opinions are welcome...

I agree that these changes need to be made. Are these going to be on NuGet? Would it be possible to create git externals to script dependencies so a definitions dependencies are in the same folder?
