Caching is now working for the buildpacks that support it. Note that the Heroku buildpacks for Node.js and Python currently do not. Closing this issue for now. Hopefully upstream will resolve issues specific to those buildpacks.

i see this code is outdated now. does it still cache buildpack artifacts? it seems i always get bundle install happening every deploy. I'm using https://github.com/ddollar/heroku-buildpack-multi with the ruby and nodejs buildpacks.
