I was not able to find any tool that would allow me to run a piece of java code, take a screenshot with the current state of the command line, store that image, and on future runs take another screenshot and compare both. This is called "snapshot testing" but it's mostly used on webpages, not command lines.

This is was the closest thing I was able to find.

I think that the more I learn about ANSI codes usage, and the more I test it with precise unit tests, the need for visual acceptance tests will be lower.
