aws-lambda-lifecycle-hook-ssh

This aws lambda function (node js) works when triggered by an autoscaling lifecycle hook. The autoscaling hook in this case indirectly kicks off the lambda function through an SNS topic update, which in turn provides the lambda function with some data it needs to: ssh on to a server, stage and run a script and then hand things back off to autoscaling group to complete the scaling event.

compound-interest-from-annual-roi

This angularjs app produces a short period average interest rate that compounds to an annual interest rate provided. The short period in question is also selected by the user (weekly/bi-weekly/monthly/quarterly). Finally, the "Show" button will demonstrate in dynamic table output how the output interest rate has the compounded result.

This app utilizes the angularjs and chart.js javascript libraries to take user input and produce an interactive line graph. The line chart reflects projected cost of living for a user input/selected number of years, current/initial cost of living and average annual inflation rate. Other than the chart output, the app demonstrates a natural UI approach to numberic input that seemless transitions between input and display states.

This simple app demonstrates a common ui where a displayed value can be clicked to be edited. When any value is clicked, it becomes editable by toggling into an input field. When it toggles into an input field, the current value is selected for easy overwriting with a new value. Hitting enter while in input mode will toggle back to display mode retaining the new value while hitting escape in input mode will revert back to the prior value. The code itself is modular so that it can easily be extended to as many values as desired as already being done here with three values.
