This may be related to commit 28c10ab by @jiajuncao , which was checked in on April 25. That was required to fix a bug in Intel MPI during ckpt-restart-ckpt-restart. Apparently, a file was listed as "deleted" at the first checkpoint, but on the first restart, it was not listed as "deleted". This created a bug after the second checkpoint, during the second restart.
