Right now composite partition key like PRIMARY KEY((username,cart_name),item_id) is not yet supported. It will be supported somehow because it is definitely in the roadmap.

However compound primary key like PRIMARY KEY(username,cart_name,item_id) is feasible, using @EmbeddedId and @Order annotations. You can have a look here to have an example.

For a real working example using compound primary key you can look at the Twitter Demo source code here
