Thanks for opening the issue. Unfortunately your issue does not contain enough information. Please try to provide as much info as possible, generally following these three main questions:

  • What did you do?
  • What did you expect to happen?
  • What happened instead?

Please also describe what steps you took to analyze the issue and what (failed) attempts you made to fix the problem yourself.

Your issue should contain everything that might help in analyzing and reproducing the issue. That includes but isn't limited to:

  • versions of the involved software
  • exact error messages
  • debug logs (also check your JavaScript console for web related issues)

Thanks for your help.

PS: You may want to refer to How to Ask Questions the Smart Way for more tips on improving your issue creation game ;-)

and shared an wiki page URL of the published content

What does that mean exactly?
a) Did you copy the link in the browser URL bar?
b) Did you copy a link from the content of the wiki page?
c) Did you copy a link from some part of the theme-generated part of the page? (Header, footer, sidebar, etc.)

Can you post an (anonymized) version of a link that causes this effect here?

For background: DokuWiki does not, to my knowledge and in my experience, include any session ids or similar data in URLs. So what you describe happening is not expected to happen from just DokuWiki code alone. I suspect something else is causing this weird experience.

If the URL does not contain a do parameter then you could add &do=check to the URL for testing to verify the logged in user.

  1. Copy the URL as user A.
  2. Edit it to include &do=check.
  3. Use the edited URL when logged in as user B and check what the line You are currently logged in as … says.

Username shown was inkapat

Where exactly was this username shown? In the theme header or somewhere in the wiki content?

This is somewhat outdated, though that should not have any impact on this issue.

PS. Please leave out all of the extraneous stuff from your mail system when answering. The clutter makes it hard to extract the actual information content of your reply. Best just edit your reply directly on GitHub.
