Tried that already, same thing happens. Also, it shouldn't matter. The grain call through a self reference should be scheduled the same way as an external call as far as I know

Thanks for reporting, this does look like a bug. I'm taking a look now.
EDIT: I think I see the problem. I don't yet know what triggered this in 8.0 - I suspect it is also present in 7.x and possibly 3.x
