This does seem to be a regression somehow... I'm not seeing the same behavior in old VS.

Investigated this guy and we're stuck with two not-so-great options:

  1. Change the @using statements to utilize a nameof behind the scenes to provide IntelliSense for anything following @using. Problem with this approach is you don't get identical IntelliSense to what you do when typing a normal using statement.
  2. Investigate turning off some light bulbish features in _ViewImports. This would involve working with the tooling folks.

Removing investigate label.

Seems we should start with option 2

Is this a 1.X regression?

This is consistent on 1.0, 1.1 and 2.0 projects. However; this does not reproduce on RTM versions of Visual Studio. After debugging, Roslyn versions are different amongs the two. It's highly possible that they lit up this feature within projections in later versions.
