I considered removing ApplicationIdentity but I did find some small usage for just the type and it is a pretty trivial type so I decided to keep it. Let me know if there is some reason you disagree.

Identity in the IsolatedStorage namespace is a different, but related concept. It's the identity of the store for the Application (or Assembly) scope.
from standard.
So should we leave it in then?
from standard.
I'm saying IsolatedStorage has something named the same, but it isn't this. It is a object that might be a StrongName, Url, etc. So it can go afaik.

I think @danmosemsft was talking about the IsolatedStorage.ApplicationIdentity
property. It's typed as object, but I assumed the implementation depends on System.ApplicationIdentity
.
If not, then which usages are you referring to @danmosemsft?
from standard.
That was it -- I can't tell from the code whether it's the same thing, it just has the same name. It sounds like it's not in fact the same thing. @weshaggard you may still choose to remove the ApplicationIdentity type if it's not meaningful (you removed the last usage) -- I am not famliiar with the type.

We should only remove if we have good reasons. When in doubt, keeping it is the way to go.
