@RobertvanderHulst I don't have any information to share about supporting custom languages at this point. We haven't been hearing much feedback about that scenario since we created the out-of-process designer, and it might end up being a signficiant amount of work on our end. We'd need a substantial number of requests to make that level of investment. Thank you for getting this back on our radar @RobertvanderHulst. I will close this issue as not currently planned, but this thread can always be resurrected when there's more customer feedback.

You have not heard much from our customers, because we told them not to use the external designer, since it does not work with our language.
I find it really disappointing that you moved away from a language agnostic internal designer to a designer that only works with C# and VB. That is not what I call progress but a serious regression.
Can't you bring back the model that is based on CodeObject? You could serialize this in the IDE and send the serialized stream to the external designer and vice versa. That should not be too hard I think.
