Awesome, I felt the same way after looking at it again. I like getInputValue
, seems very clear.

getSuggestionValue
would be inaccurate because it's not used in the menu suggestions (you render that yourself). getInputValue
is good to me 👍

Just started working on this and realized it might be nice to just have this prop on the Input
component itself. Would that work? Then you could write something like:
<Autocomplete.Input getValue={item => item.name} />
