Noob question; what if someone want to incorporate this into a commercial application? Like Outlook, Gmail or a iPhone Epub reader for example. Does the Apache License 2.0 leave it open to give them another license?

The Apache License has no "field of use" clauses, meaning you are free to incorporate it into a commercial product if you wish.

An email would be fine. Something like:

I license my contributions to the jetzt project under the Apache License 2.0.

This would only be needed for contributions made before the new license was added. For PRs created before the new license was added, it's probably best to ask also.

You could comment on the PR and say:

Do you license your contribution under the Apache License 2.0?

An affirmative response would be enough.

(This same question could be asked via email, and again, an affirmative response is fine.)
