RuntimeError on device.shell() after device.takesnapshot() about androidviewclient

If I do

>>> import os
>>> import sys
>>> from com.dtmilano.android.viewclient import ViewClient
>>> device, serialno = ViewClient.connectToDeviceOrExit(verbose=False)
>>> device.shell('logcat -c')
>>> device.takeSnapshot()
>>> device.wake()
>>> device.shell('logcat -d')

I get a socket.error: [Errno 32] Broken pipe error on self.socket.send('%04X%s' % (len(msg), msg) at line 123 of __send in adbclient.py

Could the takeSnapshot() method be breaking the connection to the device?

Yes, I think the connection to the device gets broken in takeSnapshot().

Replacing my takeSnapshot() calls with takeSnapshot(reconnect=True) resolved the issue.

The reason why reconnect=True is not the default is to speed up things
when the common case of a script only taking a screenshot and exiting is
used.
But definitely, I will reconsider that.
