eth_price_prediction

A project that scraped reddit posts, using each post to extract general sentiment (via the TextBlob library) and searching each post for an "occurrence number" of relevant current events in crypto. This project also utilized other features such as Dow Jones historical data, google search frequency, bitcoin price, etc. All features were fed into a random forest regression and classifier. High accuracy was achieved with an R squared value of 0.94 after a grid cv search.
