Yes!

When one of your guiding principles is simplicity, you can't be sending people back to their email after registration before allowing them to log in. It also wouldn't make any sense to do this if we end up providing anonymous timers.
The act of registering should automatically log the person in with the credentials provided.

_Agree 100%.
It always boggles my mind when apps require people to confirm their email address _before
allowing them to use it. But wanted to get other people's insights.

I still think that getting people to verify their email address is useful: #41
if we want to create a good feedback-loop we need ensure people correctly spelled their email address when signing up.
Obviously _ALL_ of this is a non-issue for people that use Google Login: #36
But for the people who don't have google or want to remain anonymous (e.g. by using https://www.hushmail.com/) we need to give them the option and make it good.
