I seem to recall that this may have come up before under old issue, maybe if you search with 'Australia' or other terms.

It would appear to specific to the timezone data, and may have a relationship to the OS. Also note that we added parsing with the R parser as a fallback. For what it is worth, I get

> library(anytime)
> x <- "01MAR2023:19:19:19"
> anytime(x)
[1] "2023-03-01 19:19:19 CST"
> anytime(x, useR=TRUE)
[1] "1-03-20 23:19:19 LMT"
> 

so with your non-standard input the R parser breaks. Sorry!

Both #96 and #5 come up (with loooong discussions) when one searches for AEDT.

So to circle back, I would need your help on this. As the older discussions suggests, this appears to be caused by the underlying libraries. There must be workarounds, I just don't have any 😞
