Sorry, lost track of this issue. If you are still using an older version of git, I would be happy to accept a PR that checks the stash version, and if it is less than 1.8 use --mirror.

I'd be interested in this as well. Trying to use the plugin on ubuntu 12.04 (the previous LTS release) and it does not work. The logs don't show any error other than c.e.stash.hook.MirrorRepositoryHook Failed to mirror repository foo, retrying in 1 minute (attempt 1 of 5). I'm guessing it's because of this as ubuntu 12.04 uses 1.7.9.5

Sorry @adrianluisgonzalez, I lost track of this too. ;) My systems are now using newer Git, so I am migrated away from this problem.
