This also goes for butter and salt (for buttered baked potatoes). Salt can be obtained by sifting sand, but given how sifting works, that'd basically mean dedicating an entire building just to sand-sifting, or building up a stockpile and waiting for it to run out.
also, mayonnaise and the other sauces (required for the cheeseburger(?) which apparently my hospital is also asking for, now) can't be made, nor can 'salt and pepper'. i don't think they can make soy sauce (for tofu-chicken/tofu-beef/etc) either.
