Multiple select about filter.js

I am also seeing this issue when trying:

HTML:
<select class="form-control" id="degree_filter"> <option value="all">All</option> <option value="Ph.D.">Ph.D.</option> <option value="M.D. / Ph.D.">M.D. / Ph.D.</option> <option value="M.S.">M.S.</option> </select>

JS:
FJS.addCriteria({field: 'related_degrees_filterable', ele: '#degree_filter', all: 'all'});

JSON:
"related_degrees_filterable": [ "M.D. / Ph.D.", "M.S." ],

I receive the following error: filter.js:327 Uncaught TypeError: qFn is not a function

Any insight appreciated!

For multiple select only single value in JSON will work.
i.e

"related_degrees_filterable":"M.D"

For array need to change code in selection and filtering logic.
