Apparently the standby had not been promoted. Could it be that promote_command was not set?
(maybe we should add an error message in case the standby is still in recovery mode after the attempted promotion)

Closing this issue as it seems to be a miss-configuration issue.
If you can reproduce this, on a current version of repmgr, please open a new issue
from repmgr.
