Cannot clone install package from Github about tagreader-python

Hi,
Do you mean the JSON parsing issue described in the 2.8.2 release? If so: Why not just pip install from pypi as you normally would? There is nothing new in the main branch that you won't find in the 2.8.2 release.

But to answer your question: pip install git+https doesn't work for repos that include submodules (extratests). This should let you install directly from source:

git clone https://github.com/equinor/tagreader-python.git
cd tagreader-python
pip install .
