I've got the same issue using dtrace-provider.
example code:
var binding = require('./src/build/' + _builds[i] + '/DTraceProviderBindings');
I'm not the owner of the package, but moving the concatenation out does work as suggested in the docs. Expecting developers to code with the expectation that a client might use esbuild seems unreasonable. However, having a config option to turn that off (or for a specific pattern would be handy). For now I can drop back to an earlier version os esbuild prior to the glob-style being implemented.
