@picazi Sorry for long answer. I have tested that case and wrote test for it on Apache WebDAV. It downloads file without extraction.
Can you please provide information about WebDAV server you use?
And also will be very helpful some example of code for that problem.

Hey, nice that's great!
Here is the server information from the WebDAV server I am using. Its a server from IONOS and the product is called HiDrive (https://my.hidrive.com/) it's a german web hoster. Sorry, I can't provide a test account or file for testing.
Apache/2.2.20 Unix DAV/2 mod_ssl/2.2.20 OpenSSL/0.9.8x mod_perl/2.0.4 Perl/v5.10.1
Sure here is my code, but it is pretty simple, and nothing fancy. This is my method for downloading a file from WebDAV:
def _download(self, path, filename, localpath, localfilename):
try:
self.webdav = self._connect()
if self.webdav:
remoteFilepath = os.path.join(path, filename)
localFilepath = os.path.join(localpath, localfilename)
result = self.webdav.download_sync(remoteFilepath, localFilepath)
return True
else:
raise TypeError
except TypeError as e:
self.log.error('WebDAV: TypeError, Connection self.webdav object is None!')
self.log.exception(e)
return False
except Exception as e:
self.log.exception(e)
return False
Let me know if you need more information.
