Can't insert emoji in utf8mb4 table & column about ezsql

It works if I edit this in ConfigAbstract:
private $charset = 'utf8mb4';

How can I set it in initialize?

$mysql = Database::initialize('mysqli', ['test', 'password', 'test', null, "utf8mb4"], null);

That is incorrect, you don't have host and port, charset is last parameter, 2 more before that.

$mysql = Database::initialize('mysqli', ['test', 'password', 'test', $host, $port, "utf8mb4"]);

Look at docblock for layout:

ezsql/lib/Database.php
