Gugu-xiu
## Summary I cannot complete GitHub sign-in to the live prompts.chat site using my account, **Gugu-xiu**. Direct Google sign-in to prompts.chat has worked, but I need to use my GitHub identity so that my prompt contributions can be associated with it. This is a standalone account-specific report following my comment on #1250. My main request is help resolving the login/connection problem. ## Environment - Windows - Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, and the Codex in-app browser - Website: https://prompts.chat/ - GitHub account: https://github.com/Gugu-xiu - Observations collected on September 8, 2026 ## 1. GitHub authorization completes in Edge, but prompts.chat remains signed out **Steps** 1. Verify that GitHub is signed in as `Gugu-xiu` in Edge. 2. Open https://prompts.chat/login and choose **Sign in with GitHub**. 3. Complete the prompts.chat GitHub authorization flow, which requests read-only profile and email access. **Actual result** The browser returns to: `https://prompts.chat/login?error=Configuration` The site still shows the login page. The in-app browser also returned this error, and switching to Edge did not fix it. I do not have access to the website's server logs, so I cannot determine the underlying cause. **Expected result** After successful GitHub authentication and authorization, prompts.chat should sign me in with the correct GitHub identity. ## 2. The Chrome attempt is blocked earlier, on GitHub's own login page When trying the same entry point in Chrome, I reach GitHub's login page for continuing to prompts.chat. The page displays the following message in Chinese, translated here into English: > This account does not support password sign-in. Please try another sign-in method or account recovery. The page also shows **Continue with Google** and **Continue with Apple**. This is a separate observation from the prompts.chat callback error above. The Chrome screenshot does not establish that GitHub authentication completed, and I have not yet confirmed the outcome of using the social-login buttons in that flow. I am not claiming that the password-sign-in message itself is a prompts.chat bug. ## 3. What works and what remains blocked - I can access my GitHub account in Edge and contribute to this repository there. - Direct Google sign-in on prompts.chat has worked. - Signing in to GitHub through Google, and signing in directly to prompts.chat through Google, are different flows. I need guidance on completing the GitHub flow with the correct account. - I still cannot complete GitHub-associated sign-in to prompts.chat. Switching browsers has not resolved the overall problem. ## Help requested 1. Could you investigate the `Configuration` error after GitHub authorization? 2. What is the supported way to complete prompts.chat GitHub sign-in when GitHub requires a social-login method instead of a password? 3. If I already have a Google-created prompts.chat account, is there a supported way to link it to `Gugu-xiu` while preserving existing prompts and correctly attributing future contributions? 4.
