When you type *records as an Iterable[Record], pyre thinks that records has type Iterable[Iterable[Record]]. In general, you only need to specify the type of one argument for starred and keyword arguments, so try annotating it as *records: Record. Hope that helps!

@sinancepel Thanks for your reply!

It still doesn't work. I don't understand why it says Iterable[typing.Any] has no attribute parents. Where does it get the Iterable[typing.Any] from? I think it should be Iterable[Record] or Record.

I think I used *records: Iterable[typing.Any] in the process of debugging this problem and it might still refer to that old annotation. It seems pyre doesn't detect the new annotation: *records: Record

UPDATE

Ok, it's like I suspected. Pyre doesn't detect changes I make to the annotations. I updated the title of this issue.

I also found out that, if I delete the .pyre folder that sits next to the file that causes the issue and restart VSCode, the type error is gone.

I'm using pyre with VSCode on Arch linux.

Please let me know if you need more information. :)
