The slight increase with v19 is there, but much much smaller than it looks like here. The difference you’re seeing is because you’re comparing minified size with unminified size. React stopped shipping minified version by default, which doesn’t impact vast majority of people. That’s because we commonly use bundlers and minifying the code as part of our own build pipeline

react-dom@19 is 25% (11.5KB gzipped) bigger than 18, or in other words, the size difference is about the same size as the whole react-query
