We've worked this out a bit differently, using a modified version of the [https://github.com/vitalets/lazy-model/blob/master/lazyModel.js](lazy model directive). We save changes in a buffer and only update the model on save. Rather then needing to restore the old model values. Also we leverage the the native form reset to restore model values when user clicks clear changes.
