Hi @OmarTawfik good point - we currently don't set cwd in execa and some paths - but I don't see any reason why not to.
I'm not sure how settings are passed on to this plugin maybe @felixfbecker knows?

Idk, settings are passed the same way as for any other plugin

TBH, I don't know much about testing semantic release extensions (I just started using it today) 😄

Just to update, this isn't rejected. There was a PR which just lacked finalization: #32
It will arrive, someday.
