Oh boy this is awesome ! And so simple :D
I love this idea and will use it for sure. Your test page is also a good thing, we already have an open issue for this :) Nice work, I think I will make a lot of changes in december.

What you could do is displaying head but hiding all children. Then display them on a specific basis when there are errors/warnings/whatever.

}
head > * {
display: none;
}
.something.i.want.to.warn.about.within.head {
display: block;
