A helper class for basic EL operations is needed. Ex build a map in EL, build an array or list about flowable-engine

It will also make possible to call multiple functions with one EL expressions.
As

It works even with void functions. In case of a function returning void, the result value in array is null.

In the ProcessEngineConfiguration (but also in the DMN and CMMN engine configuration) you see the following lines:

protected List flowableFunctionDelegates;
protected List customFlowableFunctionDelegates;

In the BPMN engine there's one example of a FlowableDateFunctionDelegate that formats a date with date:format() in a JUEL expression. The function delegates can be extended with other operations.
