Thank you for providing detailed information about the issue you're experiencing with flytectl on Mac OS X. It's indeed strange that the Docker version runs significantly faster than the native one. To help investigate this further, could you please provide the following additional information:

  1. The version of flytectl you're using on Mac OS X.
  2. The version of Mac OS X you're running.
  3. The hardware specifications of your Mac (CPU, RAM, etc.).
  4. The network conditions under which you're running these commands (e.g., are you on a VPN, behind a firewall, etc.).
  5. If possible, could you run the command with a higher verbosity level and share the output? This might give us more insight into where the delay is happening.

This information will help us better understand the environment in which you're running flytectl and potentially identify any factors that could be contributing to the slow performance.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Best,
Dosu

The version of flytectl you're using on Mac OS X.

  • 0.8.4
The version of Mac OS X you're running.
  • Sonoma 14.0
The hardware specifications of your Mac (CPU, RAM, etc.).
  • Apple M1 Pro, 16 GB Ram
The network conditions under which you're running these commands (e.g., are you on a VPN, behind a firewall, etc.).
  • I am running these on a company VPN and behind a Zscaler proxy. However when not on VPN, the result is the same.
If possible, could you run the command with a higher verbosity level and share the output? This might give us more insight into where the delay is happening.
  • I am running this with
    logger:
    show-source: true
    level: 6
I don't think there is higher level.
