impossible to upload more than 200 images into 1 gallery about foogallery

wow - i honestly have never tested with anything close to even 100 images :)

It might be a limitation with the postmeta table as that is where the attachments are being stored in the DB, but I will have to look into it in more detail

Yeah, I'm not really sure as to why it happens.

I don't think that it is a limitation of the postmeta table, because the WPML plugin also uses that table for content duplications and there are never problems with mass duplications.

I have managed to upload them now in batches of around 80 each, so it took a while, but they're all in now :)

While doing the batch uploading I did notice some "bad" images like an animated gif and some png files that turned black after thumbnail generation, so perhaps these things are not helpful either.

I tried to test this with 669 images and ended up dropping in the images twice by mistake.
1338 images worked for me. Performace is ok. Displaying the gallery could use "Lazy load" to get some decent performance. -- A nice extension idea, maybe!?

@cfoellmann ye that could be an extension for sure :) Also the ability to paginate a gallery would be helpful with large galleries
