Custom events don't appear to be emitted with RC1 about angular

Is this because it attempts to submit? It seems to be trying to contact the server. Insight is greatly appreciated. Happy to help with bugs, but need guidance..

It may be because it is trying to submit. What browser are you using? I know that old versions of IE have issues with button types.

we are using the latest version of chrome, so i don't think that's the issue.

In the gist it is simply an event button instead of submit defined locally.
With the page unable to reach form.io (deliberately took down the network interface so we reduce the uncertainty), when i load the page and press button with 'action':'submit' it seems ok, but only changing 'action':'event', for the button, pressing the button forces a page reload.

I'm not sure how to debug why it's happening. Maybe I misunderstand how it's working... does it need to fetch a event resource from the server or something? (i wouldn't think so..)

Would you be able to provide a branch of the ng2-app-starter with a simple button that emits an simple custom event that (e.g. prints a "hello" to the console?) (my wish list would include a before submit hook so i can see how that works too, since I can't seem to get that working either)

Thanks for all your work the past couple of days.... The custom event reload problem still occurs with RC6... any suggestions?

as at rc.17, page doesn't reload, but events do not appear to be emitted
