This feature is now available. You can use ! (250), !! (421), or !!! (550) for a disabled alias.

This is supported on both free plan and paid plan.

It looks like this allows me to disable an alias. I was hoping for the ability to forward the email successfully AND report to the sender that the email failed to deliver.

Is that possible with this feature? It seems that is not the case from reading this and the UI.

@johndbritton that's not possible right now – but you could make a webhook endpoint and use that as an alias' recipient and have it return a 4xx or 5xx status code
